One of my favorite 2010 creative themes for NTRglobal seized upon the opportunity to turn the eruption of Iceland’s Eyjafjallajökull volcano into an awareness campaign about the company’s remote access solution. Team members adapted the theme, “Have you included a volcano in your business continuity plan?” for use in the company blog, social media outlets like Twitter, Linked In or Xing and prospect and customer email campaigns.

An example of a successful traditional media result that syndicated across IDG publications around the U.S., the U.K and Europe for NTRglobal may be viewed in the link below. The story delivered key company messaging, screenshots and a link to free trial which resulted in more than 500,000 downloads in three months. This was not a paid placement. Before the Citrix/Expertcity gig, I worked in partner marketing for America Online (AOL). My partner accounts were HP and Apple. We worked together to create co-branded campaigns to lift new AOL member sign ups. That too was incredibly creative and garnered significant results. One of my favorite projects was developing a cobranded advertisement in USA today full page, back page financial section with HP printer division partner marketing team. We could hear the cheers in Dulles, AOL HQ all the way to the AOL office in San Francisco.
